New Delhi: Definitely ‘Kapil-Sunil fight’ storm has calmed down but  a lot of things are happening on ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’. We all know that the show witnessed a drastic downfall after Sunil Grover, Ali Asgar and Chandan Prabhakar quit the show.

Now, the rumours were rife that show will go off-air very soon but that doesn’t seem to be happening anytime soon. Infact makers are roping big TV actors to make show more interesting. TV actress Supriya Shukla, who is popular for her in Zee TV’s show ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ has joined Kapil’s gang.

In Kumkum Bhagya, Supriya plays the role of ‘Sarla Arora’, Sriti Jha aka Pragya’s mother.

According to news in TOI, actress will play a woman from Uttar Pradesh, who shifts to Mumbai. Talking to the news portal, actress said, “I was a bit nervous since this happens to be my first stint with comedy. However, Kapil and his team were really supportive. I will be bringing in the Kanpur flavour, and have worked hard along with the writers of the show on the lingo as well.”

Well, seems like this will be refreshing. Now, only Kapil Sharma, Sumona Chakravarti, Kiku Sharda and Navjot Singh Sidhu are prominent members left in show.

Mumbai: Family, friends and prominent Hindi and Marathi film personalities bid adieu to noted actress Reema Lagoo, who was cremated here this afternoon.

Lagoo, best known for playing the modern-day Bollywood mother in films such as “Maine Pyar Kiya”, “Hum Aapke Hain Koun..!” and “Kal Ho Na Ho”, passed away today after suffering a cardiac arrest at a hospital. She was 59.

She is survived by by daughter Mrunmayee, a theatre and film actress as well as theatre director, who performed the last rites at the Oshiwara crematorium here.

Prominent actors like Rishi Kapoor, Kajol, Tanvi Azmi, Shreyas Talpade, Rakesh Bedi, Anang Desai, Raza Murad, Sulbha Arya, Ashoke Pandit, Sai Tamhankar and her “Naamkarann” co-star Sayantani Ghosh were present during the cremation.

Superstar Aamir Khan and wife Kiran Rao, and actors Renuka Shahane, Sachin Pilgaonkar along with his daughter Shriya visited the actress’s residence here.

Born in Mumbai, Lagoo started her career with theatre where she acted in several Marathi plays. She later took it as a full-time profession.

At the age of 30, she worked in Mansoor Khan’s film “Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak”, in which she played the role of Juhi Chawla’s mother Kamla Singh.

From Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Govinda and Madhuri Dixit, Lagoo played mother to many of the top actors of the Hindi film industry on the silver screen.

One of her most successful roles was in “Hum Aapke Hai Koun…!”, where she played Anupam Kher’s wife and Madhuri’s mother.

Lagoo was popular for playing spirited characters on TV shows like “Shrimaan Shrimati” and “Tu Tu Main Main”.

In an acting career spanning almost four decades, Lagoo appeared in several hit films like “Saajan”, “Vaastav, “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai”, “Hum Saath-Saath Hain”, “Deewana Mastana”, “Yes Boss” and “Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon”.

New Delhi: Popular TV actor Karan Patel is the angry young man of our Telly industry. Many times he has been in news and courtesy his rude and angry behavior.

Something similar happened during Star Parivar Awards 2017. According to news in DNA, things didn’t go as they were planned and Karan Patel seemed to be quite angry and pissed off.

Actually, Arjun Bijlani from ‘Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil’ and Karan Patel from ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ were the highlights of the award ceremony.

As per the report, “It so happened that there were several re-takes during the segment due to some technical issues. Karan’s portion of anchoring the sequences was delayed and there was an apparent issue with the teleprompter too.Karan had to rush for an after-party and hence was miffed about the re-shoots taking place.”

When an entertainment portal contacted Karan, he said “I do not wish to comment on anything pertaining this.”

Karan Patel is married to TV actress Ankita Bhargava and plays the role of ‘Raman Bhalla’ in Star Plus’ Yeh Hai Mohabbatein.

New Delhi: TV show ‘Gangaa’ is one of the most popular shows on &TV channel which has Aditi Sharma and Shakti Anand in the lead roles. Earlier, Vishal Vashishtha played the lead role opposite Aditi.

Show started in year 2015 with child actor Ruhana Khanna, playing the role of ‘Gangaa’. Soon show took a leap of 10 years and new ‘Gangaa’ aka Aditi Sharma was introduced in the show. After one more leap and number of twists, show was still not able to get good TRP numbers.

Now the gossip mills are abuzz that very soon show will go off-air. According to news in India Forums, “Despite all the attempts by the makers to keep the show interesting, the channel has planned to pull the plug on the show due to dipping ratings. ‘Gangaa’ will bid goodbye to the audience in the first week of June and will be replaced by ‘Paramavatar Shri Krishna’.”

This is sad for all the ardent fans of ‘Gangaa’.

Vishal Vashishtha is currently seen in Sony Entertainment Television’s show ‘Jaat Ki Jugni’, opposite Madirakshi Mundle.

According to news in an entertainment portal, “Diandra plays a character who is living a dual life. She is in love with a girl but is engaged to a man, due to family pressures.Famous theatre actor Dolly Thakore plays her mother. Interestingly, Dolly’s character is supposed to be an LGBT activist, but she has double standards when it comes to her own daughter’s life.”

She liked the role, but our dates were not working out. Somehow our shoot got postponed and we connected again. But this time, I felt that to see her in Mansi’s character will be more interesting. I narrated Mansi’s character to her. She instantly liked it. I must say she is strong headed and courageous. As most of the actresses are shy about playing a lesbian and imagine this Diandra’s debut as an actress.”

NEW DELHI: Actress Savita Prabhune, who is known for her role as Sulochana in TV show ‘Pavitra Rishta’, says she is returning to fiction drama on television after a gap of three years.

The actress is returning to television with Life Ok’s upcoming show ‘Inteqam Ek Masoom Ka’, a revenge thriller, which also stars Avinash Sachdev, Manav Goel and Ricky Patel.

“Yes, I am returning to fiction drama on television after the gap of 3 years with Life Ok’s upcoming revenge drama ‘Inteqam Ek Masoom Ka’,” Savita said in a statement.

“For last three years, I was away from Hindi fiction shows as I was busy working on Marathi shows but now I am all set to entertain my fans with ‘Inteqam Ek Masoom Ka’. The show has a unique concept which has not been seen on television before,”she added.

NEW DELHI: Actress Rajeshwari Sachdev will be replacing actress Anuja Sathe in the TV show ‘Peshwa Bajirao’ post leap. The TV show will soon take a leap with fresh faces to essay the central characters, read a statement.

Rajeshwari was approached for the role of Radha Bai (earlier essayed by Anuja) to give the character a more mature look in the period drama show post the leap of the show.

“Yes I will be playing the character of Radha Bai in Peshwa Bajirao post the leap on the show. My association with Sphere Origin goes a long way back when Varun and I both were in Sphere Origin’s first production after which we got married. I have been offered the role of Radha Bai. The shoot is yet to begin and I am really looking forward to being part of their show,” Rajeshwari said.

New Delhi: Reema Lagoo’s death was shock to everyone and specially the cast of Star Plus show ‘Naamkarann’.  She died of cardiac arrest in Mumbai’s Kokilaben Ambani Hospital.

The void Reema left cannot be filled but as they say, ‘Show must go on’. This is the reason that makers have finalized another actress to play the role of ‘Dayavanti Ben’.

TV actress Ragini Shah, who is known for her role in Star Plus’ shows like ‘Saraswatichandra’ and ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’, will not play Reema Lagoo’s role in Naamkarann.

Talking to a leading portal, Ragini said, “Though I hadn’t worked with Reemaji, we knew each other because of our theatre background. I am a Gujarati theatre artiste and she had featured in a few Gujarati plays,” Ragini says, adding, “I have never replaced any actress in my career so far, let alone replacing someone who is no more with us. I was finalised for the show within two hours. The task is challenging and I am overwhelmed with emotions. Playing the part, which was originally portrayed to perfection by Reemaji, feels extremely heavy. But as they say, the show must go on.”

Mumbai: TV actress Sneha Wagh, who plays Raj Kaur in Life Ok’s historical show “Sher-e-Punjab Maharaja Ranjit Singh”, fainted on the set here.

“Summer is here and to shoot in such a heavy costume is hectic. Because of the increase in temperature, I started feeling dizzy and lost my consciousness. I was also suffering from food poisoning which affected me more,” Sneha in a statement.

Being the female lead of the show, Sneha is required to shoot for long hours at a stretch. Her costume is also said to weigh around 20 kg, which must have added to the exhaustion.

The actress says that having liquids helped her.

“Fortunately, my team is very co-operative and rushed me to my room and called for the doctor. They kept serving me liquids in between,” she added.

In the show, role of Ranjit Singh is being played by Damanpreet Singh.

New Delhi: TV actress Shweta Tiwari may not be coming back to TV anytime soon but she is still winning our hearts by posting pictures with her cute little munchkin Reyansh Kohli.

Shweta gave birth to Reyansh in December last year and this is her first child with husband Abhinav Kohli. She has 17-year-old daughter Palak from her first husband Raja Choudhary.

Actress rose to fame with Star Plus’ ‘Kasautii Zingdagi Kay’ and is also winner of Bigg Boss 4.

New Delhi: Recently, Ishqbaaz actress Navina Bole, Shireena Sambyal, F.I.R actress Kavita Kaushik, Kayamath actress Panchi Bora got hitched and the now another popular face of television has tied knot.

TV actress Priya Bathija and DJ Kawaljeet Singh got married on 22^nd May in the presence of their family and friends. It was a traditional Punjabi wedding where couple took vows in Gurudwara Sahib.

Priya was looking gorgeous in Pink-yellow lehenga with green-golden jewelry. On the other hand, Kawal was seen in maharaj style Sherwani with pink turban.

Earlier, while talking to a leading portal, Priya said, “It was love at first sight for Kawal, who told our common friend that he wants to marry me. He spoke to his family about me and requested my friend to get me to speak with my family, too. Soon, our families met and the roka was held on February 13. At first, I was sceptical about an arranged marriage as I didn’t know him too well. But after meeting him a few times, I realised that he is family-oriented. Like me, he is also old-school. In fact, he met my entire family before the roka, including the extended one.”

We all know that Maya (Jennifer Winget) and Samay (Piyush Sahdev) are the real culprit behind Saanjh’s (Aneri Vajani) father Prem’s death. Maya didn’t wanted that her real face should be revealed in front of Arjun (Kushal Tandon). So she messages Samay to hide the truth.

Samay’s love for Maya has no limit and to save her, he kills Prem (Saanjh’s father).

Now after this sad incident, fans of Beyhadh will get another shock as once again show is going to take leap.

According to news in India Forums, “Show is headed for a leap of 6 months.The post-leap story will see Maya in a different avatar, as a mother. The creative team is still working on how to incorprate Maya and Arjun’s track with their child.’Beyhadh’ will take a leap sometime around the second week of June.”

Currently in the show, Maya is pregnant with Arjun’s child. Although Arjun is happy about it but he wants to save the child from Maya as she is mentally ill.
