New Delhi: Star Plus dance reality show Nach Baliye season 8 is giving a hell of entertainment to the viewers.

Earlier we told you that the first eliminations of the show happened and 50 year-old couple Utkarsha Naik and her husband Manoj Verma have been evicted. Couple didn’t get enough votes to move to the next week.

Show is receiving good response and now everyone is waiting for the wild card entries. Few weeks ago, we exclusively told you that Bobby Darling and her husband will be the first wild card Jodi. Now, we may see one more popular Jodi in the show as wild card entrants. It is none other than Bhojpuri actress Sambhavna Seth and her husband Avinash Dwivedi.  Makers of Nach Baliye 8 are in advanced talks with the couple to get them on board as the wild card entry. They are hoping to sign them in a few weeks.

According to source of Spotboye.com, ““Looking at the buzz created by their dancing chemistry on social media, the channel decided to make them a part of the show.”

Sambhavna and Avinash got married last year in July. Two days ago, Sambhavna posted this video on her Instagram account, where duo is seen grooving to the bollywood tunes.

New Delhi: Wednesday evening was a starry affair as many TV stars attended Colors Golden Petal Awards 2017. Many of the TV actors and actresses won big in the award show but something happened there, which left everyone in complete shock.

Karan Johar and Manish Paul hosted the show. Now as per the report of an entertainment portal, “The hosts called upon the nominees of the Best Actor — Vivian Dsena (Shakti…Astitva Ke Ehsaas Kii), Vijayendra Kumeria (Udaan), Samridh Bawa (Ek Shringaar…Swabhimaan), Ssharad Malhotra (Kasam…Tere Pyaar Ki), Sidharth Shukla (Dil Se Dil Tak) and Karanvir Bohra (Naagin 2) – to come on stage for a ‘challenging’ task, for which the men were directed to get kisses from the audience and whoever managed to get the maximum number would be awarded the Best Actor.The men hurriedly ran into the seated audience and began collecting kisses. However, guess who did Sidharth choose for his first kiss? His co-star – Rashami Desai. Thus, when the actor headed for kiss from Rashami, it grabbed eyeballs. The actress obliged and instantly kissed him.”

New Delhi: Sony Entertainment Television’s comedy show ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ is going through bad time. After Kapil Sharma-Sunil Grover’s fight, the TRP of the show has gone down drastically. Since that incident, important members of the show like Sunil Grover, Ali Asgar and Chandan Prabhar have not reported on the sets.

But now it looks like that someone has finally come to save Kapil Sharma’s sinking ship.  Kapil’s ‘Bhuaa’ aka Upasna Singh is returning to the show. According to news in India Forums, “As per latest developments, the actress has already shot for an episode of ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’”

There are also reports that Upasna is coming back in new avatar.

Upasna Singh left Kapil Sharma’s show when he had a fallout with Colors TV channel. When Kapil started ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ on Sony TV, Upasna choose to do ‘Comedy Nights Live’ on Colors TV. But soon she quit that show and made a re-entry in Kapil’s show.

However, she appeared in few episodes and went missing from the show.

For unversed, Upasna is also hosting Star Plus’ dance reality show Nach Baliye 8 with TV actor Karan Tacker.

New Delhi: Jennifer Winget may be playing a grey character in Sony Entertainment Television but she is getting immense love from the fans due to her acting.

Earlier we told you that in ‘Beyhadh’, Maya (Jennifer Winget) will Saanjh (Aneri Vajani) will use the word ‘nanga’ (naked) in reference to bringing out her truth, but Maya being her usual self will take an extreme action that would shock everyone. Maya will drop down her jacket and present her semi clad body in the court.

Maya had accused Arjun’s (Kushal Tandon) brother Ayaan (Sumit Bhardwaj) of trying to molest her.

After this, when Saanjh will interrogate Maya and ask her questions, drama in the show will reach another level. Maya will get furious over Saanjh for asking her so many questions. She will take the pistol from the police standing beside her, and shoot at Saanjh.

Everyone will rush towards Saanjh to save her. Arjun would be taken aback by this.

New Delhi: Popular TV actress Ankita Lokhande is very happy in her personal life. It’s been a year since she broke up with actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

Now, actress is apparently dating a businessman named Vikas Jain, who is commonly known as Vicky. The guy in question is very popular in the industry and is also friends with several TV stars. In fact, he is even the co-owner of the Mumbai team in the Box Cricket League.

Ankita, who was quiet till now about dating Vicky, has finally broke her silence. Talking to Bollywood Life, she said angrily, “The story is already out. What do you want? I am not here to give any quotes or explanations to people. I have friends. Jisko bhi friends banati hoon, date karne lagti hoon. There is no point in saying anything. I don’t want to give a damn to all this.”

She added, “It has been one year I am tired of listening to my own things. I am dating this guy or the other. Whenever I date someone, it will be out from my side. It is ok (the constant rumours), I cannot help it.”

As per the report of portal, “Vikas and Ankita met during the BCL matches and their friendship bloomed. However, they started dating after the Holi party and want to keep their relationship under wraps.”

NEW DELHI: The women-centric TV show ‘Shakti… Astitva Ke Ehsaas Kii’ won the maximum awards at the 5th Colors Golden Petal Awards at a glitzy event.

Set against the backdrop of a culturally rich and vibrant Punjab, the show portrays the power of a family to dictate the fate of its daughters. Vivian D’Sena won the Best Actor for his role as Harman in the show, while Rubina Dilaik who plays Saumya won Best Personality (Female).

The show also bagged the title of Best Innovation in a TV Series (Fiction) and Shanti Bhushan and Rashmi Sharma were awarded for Best Story. Winners were chosen by the viewers, and the announcement was made at a grand gala.

Mouni Roy was chosen as Best Actress for essaying Shivangi in ‘Naagin 2’, and Favourite Jodi honour was shared by Sidharth Shukla (Parth) and Rashmi Desai (Shorvori) for ‘Dil Se Dil Tak’ and Kratika Sengar (Tanuja) and Ssharad Malhotra (Rishi) for ‘Kasam Tere Pyaar Ki’.

The Best Actor in a Negative Role title was also shared by Karuna Pandey (Kusum Sundari) for ‘Devanshi’ and by Monica Khanna (Shraddha Pandey) for ‘Thapki Pyaar Ki’.

Prachee Shah Pandya (Sharda) won Best Supporting Actress for ‘Ek Shringaar Swabhimaan’, which also won the Best Director (Fiction) Award for Vikram. In the Non-Fiction category, Huzaifa won it for ‘Rising Star’.

The Favourite Child Artist Award went to Kartikey Malviye (Shani) for ‘Karmphal Data Shani’.

The Best Show (Fiction) Award went to ‘Karmphal Data Shani’, Best Entertainment Series (Non-Fiction) trophy went to ‘Bigg Boss’, ‘Udaan’ was recognised as the Successfully Long-Running Show, and ‘Rising Star’ was found to be the Best Innovation in a TV Series (Non-Fiction) category.

Actor Maniesh Paul got the Best Host accolade for ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’, for which filmmaker Karan Johar was adjudged the Best Judge. The Best Parivaar award went to Chauhan family from ‘Ek Shringaar Swabhimaan’ and the entertainer Bharti Singh laughed her way to home with the Best Comedian honour.

The saw celebrities like Jacqueline Fernandez, Malaika Arora, Diljit Dosanjh, Mouni Roy, Rubina Dilaik, Juhi Parmar, Ssharad Malhotra, Salil Ankola, Sidharth Shukla, Jasmin Bhasin, Mohan Kapur, Adaa Khan, Sudha Chandran, Roshni Sahota, Helly Shah, Jigyasa Singh on the red carpet.

Diljit performed some of yesteryears’ chartbusters, while Monali Thakur grooved to remixed songs. Young Shani (Kartikey) also charmed the audience with a performance on “Har Har Mahadev” alongside choreographer Salman Yusuf Khan.

Mumbai: Filmmaker Hansal Mehta has cast his blue-eyed-boy Rajkummar Rao as Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose in an upcoming web series, to go live on ALTBalaji.

Rajkummar is not just excited about exploring a new medium, but also to essay a character he never thought he would get to play.

“For us, as actors, it’s about the story and the character, not so much about the medium.

“I did my first film ‘Love Sex Aur Dhokha’ with Ekta Kapoor’s ALT Entertainment, and to do this new show for ALTBalaji is like coming back home,” Rajkummar said here on Thursday.

Asked to talk about his role, Rajkummar said: “This is why we need a show on Bose. Because if we were making one on (Mahatma) Gandhi, you wouldn’t ask me this.”

The web series is an attempt to bring alive the story of Bose to the current generation, says Mehta, who described him a “rockstar”.

“It will be a compelling and thrilling watch,” Mehta said.

On associating once again with Rajkummar, whom he has directed earlier in “CityLights”, “Shahid”, “Aligarh” and the upcoming “Omerta”, Mehta quipped: “It’s a question all actors ask me.”

This show is not to be confused with a web series on the freedom fighter that is being helmed by filmmaker Kabir Khan for Amazon Prime Video.

New Delhi: Star Plus’ show Yeh Hai Mohabbatein gave a big platform to many TV actors. Recently, Gaurav Wadhwa aka Sohail, made his entry in the show as Nidhi aka Pavitra Punia’s sister. However, his role was short and as his track ended, he bid adieu to the show.

Now, Gaurav Wadhwa has bagged a lead role in Colors TV show. He has been roped in to play main lead in the post-leap story of ‘Thapki…Pyaar Ki’.

According to India Forums, “Gaurav’s character will be paired opposite Tina, Thapki and Bihan’s daughter.”

Confirming the news to the portal, actor said “Yes I have been cast as the protagonist in ‘Thapki…Pyaar Ki’. I would not like to reveal much about my character apart from it being an interesting one.”

Earlier in the show, Jigyasa Singh and Manish Goplani played the lead characters of Thapki and Bihaan.

TV actress Smriti Khanna who was madly in love with TV actor Gautam Gupta has made their relationship official. Both the lovebirds are engaged now.

Smriti and Gautam were in Goa when they got engaged. As per the report of an entertainment portal, Gautam popped the question much to the surprise of Smriti, who with a happy tear in her eyes said a yes.

While talking to the portal, Smriti said “We are here in Goa to celebrate Gautam’s birthday (which was yesterday, 13 April), and he just swept me off my feet with this lovely surprise. We started dating after Meri Aashiqui got over and I think its magical how we connected and found love. Our families are really excited and it is an amazing feeling.”

New Delhi: The trend of hacking TV celebs social media account is spreading very fast. In the recent past, Nia Sharma and Charlie Chauhan became victim of it. Nia Sharma’s account was hacked by Charlie just received a threat call.

Now another actress has joined this list but this time hacker went to another level. TV actress Sehrish Ali, who is known for her in Diya Aur Baati Hum and is currently seen in Dil Bole Oberoi, mentioned to a leading news daily, that how she was harassed by a hacker and things just did not end there.

It all began, when Sehrish received a call from a man named Ryaan Ali and that person approached her for a few event appearances in India and Dubai. According to report, “The saga began when the man contacted her on social media asking her email ID to discuss the details of the remuneration. However, the actress mentioned that it was foolish of her to share her verification code with the man.The next thing she knew was that her Snapchat was hacked and the hacker not only began contacting her female friends but also downloaded their ‘skimpily-dressed’ images and blackmailed them.”

Well, for now actress has filed a complaint with the Cyber Crime Cell and the situation is under control. The shocking thing is that some of her friends are still being harassed.

Let’s hope that everything gets under control as soon as possible.

New Delhi: This may not be good news for all the Drashti Dhami aka Naina and Arjun Bijlani aka Raghav fans as the Star Plus show ‘Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil’ may go off-air very soon.

Shocked? We were too!

Despite of big faces of television, Drashti and Arjun in the show, it could not gain much popularity. Not just this, even the lead characters failed miserably to build a sparkling chemistry.

As per the sources of Spotboye.com, “The real reason for this untimely wrap-up is show’s low TRP. According to a source, it has failed to get audience’s attention. The show, which stars two big television names- Drashti and Arjun as leads (who have their individual fan following) has failed to build the chemistry on-screen.”

The source of the portal also revealed that, “While the last date of the show is not decided yet, we have come to know that the actors and the production team are already aware about the news.”

Recently, Additi Gupta and Laksh Lalwani quit the show as they were not happy the way the track was progressing.

This is shocking also because it’s been only 6months since the show started and already the team has started winding up the serial.

The TV czarina, in a no holds barred chat with IANS here about ALT Balaji, said she feels like a kid in a candystore with how the app medium lends itself to storytelling which is free from the trappings of the “acceptable” on a community viewing medium like films and a family viewing medium like television.

“I can’t make stories on TV which are bold enough,” said Ekta, who finds a kiss on the small screen discomforting if her father and veteran actor Jeetendra is around.

“Still, as far as slang and sex is concerned, I’ve curtailed it to two shows (on the app). But I think, as a nation we should stop having a problem with sex. We do not realise that when we start prohibiting and create a sort of taboo against sex, we actually encourage sexual crime.

“A certain sense of prohibition leads to some kind of odd need.”

Ekta, who changed the face of Indian television with shows like “Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi” and “Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki” at the start of the new millenium, finds the “myopic views” somewhat paradoxical — and ones that need to be set right.

“If there’s a kiss or if we see a girl in a short skirt, there’s a problem, and we actually condemn these things when we have to be way more relaxed about physical expression of love,” she said, pointing out how a girl buying a condom or a pack of sanitary pads, or saying an everyday word like ‘bra’ in public, or being hush about periods, are made out to be “issues” when they are not.

“People are getting embarrassed by things they should be comfortable about. And not getting uncomfortable with things they should be uncomfortable with.

“There’s eve-teasing in so many songs — but that’s okay? We’re not getting uncomfortable with anything non-consensual. We are uncomfortable with sex,” said the Joint Managing Director and Creative Director of Balaji Telefilms.

These pent-up questions in her mind have sort of found a creative vent in the digital medium for Ekta.

“I’m actually able to do TV now a lot more easily because I’m able to do this. Thanks to this vent for creative expression, I can tell stories of importance and then come back and say something way more sanitised on TV,” she said.

It was a realisation that dawned upon Ekta in 2014 when she came out with “Ajeeb Daastaan Hai Ye” — a story of a middle-aged mother, who has been cheated upon by her husband, having an emotional affair with her boss. The show was discontinued following abysmal TV ratings — much to her dismay.

“It was a show very close to my heart, and it never got watched. It was a show with which I was judging India to see if they accept this woman or not.” They didn’t.

“At the end of the day, when you’re going to such a large audience, the thought will have to be sanitised and will have to be one size that fits all,” she realised.

Now that she is juggling with a variety content on different mediums, she has an interesting way to put her perspective about it.

“I’ll always do TV with full respect. It’s like if I start doing house parties, it doesn’t mean I stop celebrating Diwali.

Every year, Assam and its Diasporas celebrate one of the most important cultural festivals of India: Bihu. Bohag Bihu falls on 14, 15 and 16 April. These three days will be marked by festivities across Assam and parts of its neighbouring states. But like a lot of things about northeast Indian culture, Bihu too remains lesser-known to most of India. They are really crazy about bihu dance and celebrations.

DEVOLEENA BHATTACHARYA: I remember the bihu celebrations of shivsagar at Assam. The stick music, bihu dance and the coconut sweets. I love pitha. Now in Mumbai I keep a small bihu party my mom makes assamese food and sweet and my friends also perform bihu dance with me on stick music. I am really crazy about bihu dance.

SHAMIN MANNAN: Bihu has always been one of my favorite festivals, especially bohag bihu which marks the beginning of a year in assam. I love shopping for the festival and used to be excited about shopping when was a kid. My mom makes all the yummy bihu delicacies and even now she sends them for me all the way from assam. We buy new clothes and love the ladoos and pithas that my mom makes with my friends here in mumbai. I really miss the beautiful sight of bihu dance and the bihu music being played all around the dibrugarh at assam.

PARINEETA BORTHAKUR: I Miss Bihu, but I have a family get together at home as my parents are in town, my mother in law is making pitha, so with the full family around, it’s the Bihu-Bihu feel already at home. During bihu, as a child in Duliajan, we used to get new clothes, we used to wait for Husori (A bunch of people comes to every house and dances Bihu, and blesses them in bihu). We used to dance along with the Husori people. It was so much fun, while talking about it, I am feeling nostalgic.

MAHIKA SHARMA: I just miss bihu celebrations here in mumbai. However, I celebrate it in mumbai I make my friends to dance bihu with me playing bihu songs. I really miss dressing like ‘asomiya suwali’ (Assamese girl) and really fond of pitha and coconut stuff. Bihu is really a great celebration at my hometown, Tinsukia. I really miss it.

New Delhi: Star Plus serial ‘Koi Laut Ke Aaya Hai’ is serving the high voltage drama to the viewers. Currently, track is focusing Geetanjali aka Surbhi Jyoti who is trying to find the real killer of her husband Abhimanyu (Shoaib Ibrahim).

Now in the upcoming episodes, we will see a new entry in the show. Last month we exclusively told you that Dipika Kakkar will enter ‘Koi Laut Ke Aaya Hai’ and it is finally happening.

Actress is all set to enter the show for an interesting role but it will be for very short span of time. As per the news in India Forums, “The housemaid Chanda, will be shown getting married to Sevakram and this, in fact, is Geetanjali’s (Surbhi Jyoti) plan to get Radheshyam (Chanda’s actual husband) out from the closet. And why is that? Only because Radheshyam is the main suspect of Abhimanyu’s (Shoaib Ibrahim) murder. Radheshyam, apparently, tampered with the breaks of the car that Abhimanyu was traveling in.It is being said that Dipika will be doing a special performance in the marriage functions and the performance will have some moments of twists assigned to it too.”

However, it will be interesting to see if Deepika and Shoaib get to share some scenes together or not.

Currently, Shoaib and Deepika are seen in dance reality show Nach Baliye 8.

New Delhi: Actress and ex-Bigg Boss contestant Sofia Hayat announced her engagement on Instagram. From last few days, she is in Mecca with her fiancée Vlad. But actress mentioned that she had to face gruesome incident at the holy place.

On Friday night, posting a video on Instagram, Sofia said that she got separated from Vlad, was inappropriately touched by strange men, her ‘hijab’ removed and almost strangled to death. While posting the video on social media, she wrote “Islam respects women. A man must not touch a woman that is not his wife, or be violent to her. That is why I love islam. These rules however do not apply in Mecca. Men forget the rules when they go there. Today on my 2nd umra as I attempted again to touch the black stone, I was being pushed by men. One man was pushing his genitals into me from behind..the women’s queue is non existent because men have used their physical strength to push women out of the way. As I was about a metre from the black stone, I was pushed so hard against my ribs I could not breath. I was scared, so I decided to turn back, as I did, men kept pushing, and my hijab came off and got caught between the pushing men, I was being dragged back by it and was started to be strangled by it. I screamed. Suddenly a few good men saw what was happening and came to my rescue. I am so shaken up and sad that at the house of God; men do not care about the words in the Quran. Allah is in me and she says to me that if a man thinks he will go to Jannat by touching the black stone yet disregards the respect Islam has for women, then your hajj or umrah is useless. In the house of Allah women are being disrespected. Allah is the greatest she is the most high … I am so sad this happens in her house in Makkah. The man who lifts a women to the stone and does not touch it himself will surely see Jannat. I appeal to the King to set up 1 day for only women so that they may with deepest respect, be able to touch the Kabba, without this non islamic behaviour from men. I know women desire as much as men to touch the kabba and stone…so why should they have to suffer? A woman cannot match a mans physical strength. Even in the Cave where the prophet pbuh received the Quran, people are throwing rubbish and even urinating around it as their are no toilets. New Delhi: Stage in Star Plus’ dance reality show Nach Baliye season 8 is all heated up. In this upcoming episode, 50 year-old couple Utkarsha Naik and Manoj Verma will get evicted due to the low votes.

Ardent fans will also get to see TV couple in a desi avatar and special guest Hrithik Roshan, grooving with the TV actresses. It is being said that Hrithik was totally wooed by Vivek Dahiya’s performance. So, he had a very interesting interaction with TV actor.

As per the source of Pinkvilla.com, “Mohit Suri wanted to know if Vivek ever feels insecure about Divyanka’s popularity. To which Vivek replied saying that he has always been asked this question and could never relate.  In fact, Vivek went to say that both he and Divyanka were mature individuals and when they met and she was already really successful at that time.”

Vivek further said he, as a husband has always felt proud and in fact, she’s been an inspiration as an actress. NEW DELHI: Hussain Kuwajerwala who became a household name after playing the character of Sumeet Wadhwa in ‘Kumkum’ is all set to return to fiction shows after hiatus of eight years.

The TV heartthrob will be seen in Vipul D Shah’s upcoming comic show ‘Sajan Re Phir Jhuth Mat Bolo’ which is a sequel to 2009 SAB TV’s show ‘Sajan Re Jhuth Mat Bolo’. Hussain has a huge fan following which includes mostly women.

When the actor was inquired about the same, he said the talks are on. “To be honest, nothing is confirmed as of yet. I will not deny that talks are going on, but I am yet to sign anything on the dotted lines. They have had their stages of casting, so I am yet to know the confirmation on it,” he told Pinkvilla.

NEW DELHI: ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ actress Divyanka Tripthai is currently part of ‘Nach Baliye’ where she is showing off her dancing skills. But, it seems the celebrity reality show has taken toll on her health.

The actress who is juggling between shoot and practice spends hours rehearsing for her final act. Divyanka and her hubby Vivek Dahiya don’t want to leave any stone unturned for their weekly performance. Unfortunately, long hours of rehearsals has affected her health. Divyanka injured her back while practicing and is now confined to bed.

She has been advised bed rest until she is completely fit. The actress shared her grief with fans through Instagram. Divyanka shared her sad picture with caption, “An annoyed me when my back pain coercively leaves me bed-ridden.#NothingToDo? #MakeInstaPosts!”.
