New Delhi: Popular comedian Rehman Khan who has been seen in many TV shows like ‘The Great Indian Laughter Challenge Season 3′, Mad In India’, Comedy Circus’ has been reportedly arrested on the rape charges yesterday.
According to report of a leading telly portal, a 30-year-old woman who hailed from Mumbai filed a complaint against the comedian at Santacruz Police station on February 29.
The report stated that, a year ago the woman got in touch with the comic app via WeChat . After being friends, the actor allegedly borrowed Rs 2 lakh as loan from her. But when the woman asked him to return the money, Rehman apparently called her to a hotel in Vasai and reportedly raped her.
Not only this , the victim has also accused the stand-up comedian of filming the entire incident on his phone and later using the same to blackmail her. Santacruz police station transferred the case to Waliv police station in Vasai. After an intense search, Rehman was arrested yesterday (8 March 2016) from Kurla, states report in Tellychakkar.com.
