New Delhi: After the arrest of his co-star Kiku Sharda, Ali Asgar who plays ‘Dadi’ in ‘Comedy Nights with Kapil’ moved the Bombay High court on Friday and was granted anticipatory bail for a week, which allowed him to move a court in Haryana.
The FIR was also filed against him along with Kiku for allegedly ‘hurting religious sentiments’ by mimicking Dera Sacha Sauda Chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim. Ali and Kiku had done a skit on a show called ‘ Jashn-e-Ummeed’ in December last year and this urged a follower of Ram Rahim to lodge an FIR in Haryana’s Kaithal.
There are six other people apart from Kiku and Ali who have been named in the FIR.
Asgar said that the show had no intention to hurt anyone’s religious or personal feelings.
